Daniel Davies
Chief Executive
Daniel Davies is a 36 year-old entrepreneur who started in business at the age of 18. Daniel is a co-founder of CPL Training and has been personally involved in its rise to be number one in its core market. Daniel remains a hands-on member of the team as well as developing allied businesses to support CPL Training's growth.
As Chief Executive Daniel is responsible for implementing the Board's strategy so that CPL Training can achieve the goals set for it. Daniel also maintains and develops the company's relationships with major corporate clients and their key partners and is responsible for establishing CPL Training's expansion into the delivery of training and qualifications internationally.

John Taylor OBE
Non-Executive Chairman
John Taylor retired from Unilever in 2001 after 38 years with the firm. He started as a research assistant in Unilever Research Laboratories working on chemical processes and then moved into manufacturing roles within the UK factories. After his appointment as Works Director of Lever UK in 1989 he played an influential role in setting up a European supply chain organisation, as part of Lever Europe.
Initially appointed Northern European Manufacturing Manager he was then appointed European Supply Chain Director for Unilever's Laundry business. In 2003 John was awarded the OBE for services to industry.
Chris Robinson
Non-Executive Director
Chris is an economics graduate of the University of London who joined CPL in April 2006 as a non-executive director. He has over twenty years' experience in the banking and finance industry, latterly as a Director and the Chief Executive of Bristol & West International Limited in Guernsey, Channel Islands.
Chris has particular expertise in the establishment and development of corporate customer relationships. His main role is to develop the strategy required to expand and widen CPL Training's partnerships with our large and growing portfolio of corporate customers

Trevor Upton
Non-Executive Director
Trevor worked for 15 years with Grand Metropolitan, from Licensee to General Operations Manager followed by another 13 years with Greenall's. Trevor was appointed Managing Director of Premier House, Greenall's pub, restaurant and lodge division. Trevor's team developed a number of eating out concepts and the lodge brand Premier Inns & Lodges that is now owned and operated by Whitbread.
Trevor left Greenall's in 1999 to work as a business and personal mentor until 2007 when he went in to semi-retirement. Trevor's experience operating a major licensed retail multiple-operator enables him to provide invaluable insights to the Board concerning developments within the licensed retail and hospitality sectors.
David Dasher
Managing Director CPL Online
David is CPL Online's Managing Director and is responsible for pushing the development of our e-learning platform through.
David has a wealth of experience in IT, over 19 years, across the corporate sector developing database solutions, direct marketing systems and customer relationship management systems.
David's instrumental part in the development of our revolutionary e-learning platform has helped to make it as successful as it has become, with more and more companies choosing our platform over our competitors for its use of technology, accessibility, bespoke options and a range of other features to assist companies in their training.
David strives to form lasting contacts with clients and his efficient and innovative approach has helped CPL diversify across sectors.

Peter Moss
Group Finance Director
Peter is CPL's Group Finance Director, responsible for the both the strategic and day-to-day financial management of the Group.
With over 20 years experience across the Professional Services, Distribution, Logistics and Retail sectors, Peter has achieved significant success, holding the position of Finance and Operations Director at a number of multi Fast Track 100 award winning companies.
By implementing best practice and practical risk management within CPL, Peter's financial management experience will be invaluable across all areas of the Group

Liz Delgado
Company Secretary
As the CPL Group's Company Secretary Liz is responsible for advising the CPL Group on legal matters including intellectual property, acquisitions and management of disputes and litigation. She acts as a point of communication between the board of directors and company shareholders, reporting on company procedures and developments.
Liz is also Director of In-house Lawyer Limited, providing a flexible legal resourcing solution for businesses by supplying them with a part-time in-house lawyer.

Louise Sui
Commercial Director
Louise is CPL's newest recruit and as Commercial Director has numerous exciting ideas on how to raise our profile, grow our training base and maximise our opportunities.
With an extensive background in Sales, Marketing and Database Marketing Louise certainly knows how to utilise the opportunities presented to us through diversifying our markets and add force to our marketing plan, ensuring we push forward as a leader in the Training sector.

Christine Henney
Director of HR & Hospitality Programme Development
With a substantial 27 years experience within the Hospitality sector, working for both national and International companies, Christine is more than suited to this position. Christine has worked across the far-east, including the Maldives, as an Operations and HR Consultant and is responsible for the openings of 5 hotels throughout her career.
Christine's role within CPL is to implement HR policies and procedures, support personal development and manage the welfare of the team. Christine has some impressive ideas to help CPL grow; building on the great successes of the business so far.

Paul Chase
Director & Head of UK Compliance
Paul Chase is a graduate political economist with over 20 years experience operating licensed retail premises. He is a co-founder of CPL Training and as a Director and Head of UK Compliance is responsible for ensuring that the business targets of this department are delivered to the Board.
Widely acknowledged as a sector expert, Paul is also responsible for compliance course development and works closely with awarding bodies developing and maintaining CPL's licensed retail sector qualifications. In addition Paul manages a number of key corporate accounts.

Sue Mayers
Contracts Manager
Sue has an extensive background in hospitality, dedicating her focus to work based learning. She is responsible for managing contracts, delivering programmes and during her time with CPL has developed relationships to form an established client list.
Sue is now taking on a more proactive role in orchestrating the entire Work Based Learning department in their guided support for learners throughout their Apprenticeship and NVQ (QCF) qualifications.
After joining CPL as Internal Verifications Manager in 2009, Sue has been instrumental in winning new funding and developing business opportunities. Expanding the Work Based Learning department, both internally and externally, is Sue's latest challenge and one that is easily achievable for someone with Sue's knowledge and experience within this industry.

Andrew Rannard
E-learning Support Manager
As the E-learning Support Manager Andrew is the main point of contact for all of our e-learning customers, ensuring that they receive an unrivalled level of service when using our revolutionary e-learning platform. Andrew is responsible for scheduling, project management and the day-to-day administration that comes with training over 6000 learners.
With technology constantly changing Andrew works closely with David Dasher, Group IT Director, to identify and develop new products, ensuring we are always one step ahead of the competition. Both David and Andrew are opening CPL's very own IT Academy, making a real statement about where CPL stands on technology.
As a Business Management Graduate, specialising in e-commerce, with years of client-facing experience as CPL's Recruitment Manager, Andrew is well suited to the position.

Andrea Walker
Financial Controller
Andrea is AAT qualified and an ACCA Chartered Accountant with 14 years experience within the finance industry and is the latest member of CPL's Accountancy Department.
Andrea's role within CPL focuses on the supervision of the finance staff, ensuring statutory regulations are both met and adhered to and re-evaluating CPL's policies and procedures to add value to the business.
Andrea's confident, proactive approach to number crunching, as well as her many years of experience, make her perfectly suited to the position.

Michelle Lyons
Corporate Account Manager
Michelle has over 10 years experience working with corporate customers and is responsible for ensuring first class levels of customer service whilst managing day-to-day administration of courses in the office.
Michelle's hands-on approach ensures that corporate customers' training needs are analysed and met and that they receive a full evaluation after the completion of training projects so that they can quantify the outcomes and benefits.

Adam Evans
Lead Programmer
As CPL's Lead Programmer Adam is responsible for the Software Development team, focusing on ever changing technologies to ensure CPL keep ahead of our competitors.
Implementing animations, designs and content into CPL's website and developing software to create new products for CPL are Adam's key roles. Adam has been working closely with David Dasher, Group IT Director, to develop CPL's new e-learning platform; an initiative which has really taken off as it provides a flexible and accessible solution to traditional training methods.
It is progressive thinking like this that has made CPL stand above its competitors.

Debbie Mcnamee
Examinations Manager
Debbie leads the CPL examination's department. She manages the whole process of distributing examination papers and controlling their progress from start to finish through all of our examination centres.
Debbie is also responsible for the efficient processing of examinations to and from the various awarding bodies.

John Shinnick
Partner, Grant Thornton
John joined Grant Thornton in 1987, having trained with a Liverpool firm and worked in East Africa with KPMG. He has a very active and lively client base that covers a broad range of businesses, but there is a common theme: his clients are entrepreneurial and accept the risks and rewards that come with that territory. Increasingly, he is working with clients in a coaching capacity, looking at ways of facilitating change and building flexibility into strategic thinking.

Paul Charity
Public Relations Advisor, Propel
Former Group Editor of the Publican's Morning Advertiser, Paul has a wealth of experience in the licensed retail and drinks industry. During his career Paul has helped to establish licensed retail trade publications.
His commercial awareness and communication skills have led Paul to develop his own PR agency, Propel, and he is now the CPL Group's Public Relations Advisor. Paul is responsible for producing high quality news stories and external newsletters as well as building media relations and helping to develop business strategies by launching the CPL Group in the casual dining arena.
