Award in CCTV Public Space Surveillance Level 2

To work in the private security industry you must hold a licence granted by the Security Industry Authority (SIA). Working without an SIA licence is a criminal offence. Before applying for your SIA licence you must first gain this qualification.

With over 4.5 million CCTV cameras in the UK the role of a CCTV operator is vital in today's security conscious society. Operators carry a lot of responsibility for the safety of the public; controlling the high-tech cameras, giving evidence and much more. As the role carries such responsibilities operators need to have an understanding of security legislation, surveillance techniques and the Codes of Practice of CCTV operation.

Our Level 2 CCTV course equips candidates with the skills and knowledge they need to operate a CCTV surveillance system and becoming a certified CCTV operator.

This 4 day course is suitable for those wanting to enter a career in CCTV surveillance or for security staff who require a qualification to apply for their SIA Licence. It is also an ideal qualification for those transferring from other security roles as well as people who have an element of CCTV surveillance experience in their current security role.
