Course Overview

How to complete the Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH) Level 2 Qualification

Step 1: Book onto our online e-learning course to complete all the learning required to gain the personal licence qualification.

Step 2: After completing the e-learning course, you will then complete your exam via a web portal which will be recorded using a web camera. Learners will be provided with all necessary information about how to complete the e-assessment.

Course Content

The Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH) training course will provide each learner with a clear understanding of the framework of the law and regulation that underpins the responsibilities of the personal licence holder. This will include:

Licensing objectives
Licensing authorities
Personal and premises licences
Operating schedules
Permitted temporary activities
Unauthorised licensable activities
Police powers and rights of entry
Legal and social responsibilities of the personal licence holder
Illegal drugs, the effects of alcohol and disorderly conduct
Protection of children

Assessment

To complete the e-assessment delegates will be required to log into the digital invigilation platform using their unique credentials. The learner will be required to comply with exam conditions using their smartphone and webcam. Setup takes just 5 minutes and support is available in getting set up.

Face-to-Face Course and Exam – The learner completes a full day training course with an experienced tutor at one of our training centres located across the country. They then sit the multiple-choice exam on the same day while the knowledge is still fresh in their minds. The learner also receives a handbook before attending the course so they can familiarise themselves with the course content.
