Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) Level 3
This course satisfies the government requirement for teachers, tutors and trainers to hold an award in preparing to teach in the Life Long Learning sector.
Course Overview
Upon completion of the one mandatory unit, learners will have demonstrated that they are able to:
- Understand the teacher's role and legislative requirements
- Understand appropriate teaching and learning approaches
- Demonstrate session planning skills
- Deliver and evaluate learning
- Understand the use of assessment methods and reasons for keeping records of assessment
Who should take this qualification?
Anyone who needs an initial award for their role as a teacher, tutor or trainer in the Lifelong Learning Sector, FE Colleges, in Adult and Community Learning Centres or to be a trainer for a learning provider.
Assessment: Assessment by the submission of a portfolio of assignments.
Duration: 5 days minimum.
