Why do I need theses qualifications?
You cannot work in the security sector without your SIA qualification. It is also a requirement in some local authorities for caretakers and some health authorities for reception staff and porters.

What is an SIA Licence?
An SIA licence is a legal requirement for anyone working in the role of:

Who is the SIA?
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is the organisation responsible for regulating the private security industry.

Who qualifies for an SIA Licence?
To qualify for an SIA licence in Door Supervision/Security Guarding/CCTV Operative you must be aged 19 or over. You will also need to pass an identity check, a criminal record check and have achieved the appropriate SIA approved training qualification, all of which CPL offers.

How much does it cost?
An SIA licence is currently £245.00 payable to the Security Industry Authority.

How do I apply for my licence?
Firstly you will need to gain your qualification in your chosen area. Next, you will need to apply to SIA or by completing an application form which you can obtain direct from the SIA or from us. If you train with us the form will be completed with the support of the trainer.
