CPL Training delivers NVQs in Hospitality, Security Services, Road Passenger Transport and Cleaning & Support Service mainly within the North West Region.
Developed by the Sector Skills Councils, National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) have developed minimum standards across a number of different vocations within a nationally recognised framework.
An NVQ is a 'competence-based' qualification: this means staff learn practical, work-related tasks designed to help them develop their skills and knowledge to do a job effectively.
NVQs are available to adults and young people alike (from 16 to 60+); as long as they are employed either full or part-time or have access to a work placement. NVQs are government funded so there is no direct cost to the candidate or the employer - just commitment.
All work towards the qualification is in the workplace and supported by an assessor; each candidate is observed and additional evidence identified to specific tasks from their chosen units at the right level. (Levels range from 1 to 5.)
