Steve Kershaw
Playing a supporting role
A builder by trade, Steve Kershaw took his NCPLH to support his wife's business - she runs a pub in Pudsey near Leeds. Steve said: “It was a good course. Our tutor Hugh made the day very enjoyable and lively with his vast experience of licensed retail. I learned a lot and it means I can share the burden of the pub business with my wife.”

Thomas Haigh
Banking on a fresh start
After 13 months in banking Thomas Haigh decided that it wasn't the career for him. What started as a temporary job in the local pub has turned into a new career since taking his NCPLH exam with us. He explained: “The teaching was excellent and made what could have been a stressful day much easier. Now I have my Personal Licence I'm still working at the pub but I am also going in to relief management with a view to running my own pub soon.”
