CPL Named Runners Up At Business Oscars

Leading training provider, CPL Training, has been named runner up at the prestigious National Business Awards.

Considered the, ‘National Business Oscars’ throughout the business community, CPL Training has been short-listed in the Tenon Award for Entrepreneurial Spirit category which celebrates creative, entrepreneurial drive and innovation.

The company was recognised for its recent strategy of diversification and growth in the face of changing market conditions. During the past year, CPL Training has successfully entered a series of new sectors, launching an international division, specialist security training arm and NVQ branch.

A team from CPL Training joined representatives from other national and regional brand names at a ceremony held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel. Hosted by Andrew Marr and sponsored by the Daily Telegraph and Orange, guests on the night included Secretary of State, Peter Mandelson and HRH, The Earl of Wessex.

Daniel Davies, CPL Training chief executive said: “To be part of the National Business Awards, and to be short-listed in the entrepreneur category, is a fantastic achievement for CPL Training. During the past year, we have re-focused our business model, steering us towards new growth sectors whilst re-affirming our position as number one training provider to the licensed trade.
