Generic Teacher Training
In many areas of the world, experts wish to share their specialist knowledge by teaching adults in the lifelong learning sector. However, they lack a recognised teaching qualification. To cater for this demand, we are able to supplement specialist subject ability with a generic teacher training programme. This is available internationally, and helps you to acquire the competencies and concepts of teaching, while developing your own skills as a subject specialist.
Examinations
In terms of comprehensive language assessment, we offer TARGET 4-skills English examinations (both online or paper-based versions). TARGET is available at three levels: 1, 2 and 3, catering for Elementary through to Lower Intermediate candidates. Together, TARGET tests provide sound preparation for Warwick University's WELT Test. While the TARGET suite is useful preparation for IELTS and TOEFL examinations, CPL strongly recommends Warwick examinations (at Foundation level, and above). CPL is able to provide full syllabus documentation, level descriptors, sample texts and papers, CDs of Listening questions and all kinds of backup resources, including practice tests online.
