Changes to the NCPLH qualification

31. March 2010 16:15

I have been working with our Awarding Body, EDI, and a number of other Awarding Bodies, to develop a new ‘shared unit’ for the National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders (NCPLH) qualification to go onto the new Qualifications and Curriculum Framework (QCF). The content of the NCPLH will be broadly similar to what exists today, but eventually the name will change to ‘Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders’ (APLH). The legal requirement that anyone working in licensed premises whose job role involves authorising the sale of alcohol needs a Personal Licence is not going to change, and the new-style APLH will still be available from CPL Training.
