John Taylor OBE
Consultant to the board
John Taylor OBE retired from Unilever in 2001 after 38 years with the firm. He started as a research assistant in Unilever Research Laboratories working on Chemical Processes and then moved into manufacturing roles within the UK factories.
After his appointment as Works Director of Lever UK in 1989 he played an influential role in setting up a European Supply Chain Organisation, as part of Lever Europe.
Initially appointed Northern European Manufacturing Manager he was then appointed European Supply Chain Director for Unilever's Laundry business. In 2003 John was awarded the OBE for services to industry.
